This company is a Fraud. I hope you used a credit card. I called my amex and they investigating the company. They used to answer they phone, now they don’t. They sat on my money for over a month, then they wanted me to wait some more. What a joke. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB. And I am not gonna stop there. Try to get your money back if you used a CC. I wished I would of seen a post like this before I put my order in. What a waste of time.

Stay away from there, all penny auctions are scams. It may look like a great deal (and it can be… for the site owner) but since you could put in quite a bit of money and walk away empty handed, it should be considered gambling.

Take that $ 79 iPod. That’s 7900 pennies bid by several people, and even at only 50 cents per bid that’s nearly $ 4000 for a $ 200 product, plus what the winner paid. Guess who gets the leftover money.

And even if you accept that, can you accept the possibility that you could lose all the money you put in? Imagine buying 30 bids at 50 cents each and running into someone with 31 bids at the ready. You lose, you’re out $ 15, and you and your co-losers have more than paid for the other guy’s win.

Electronics is the study of the flow of electrons through materials and devices. Devices could be semiconductors, resistors, inductors, capacitors and vacuum tubes. An electronic component is any physical entity in an electronic system which affects the electrons. Current flows from +ve to -ve.

First of all you must be aware of what is an atom. Atom contains a nucleus to which electrons are tightly bound or loosely bound. Example wood, glass have tightly bound electrons has it is difficult for current to flow in them since there is less movement of electrons. Whereas Copper, iron, god, silver are having loosely bounded electrons to nucleus therefore current flow is more due to presence of free electrons. Generators use a magnet to move electrons. In an electrical circuit, the number of electrons that are moving is called the current, and it is measured in amperes. The “force” pushing the electrons along is called the voltage and is measured in volts. For example a battery is of 9v means it will push electrons with force of 9v.In US power outlets gives 120v whereas in India it gives 220v.

Increase in voltage increases current. Decrease in resistance will increase current flow.The advantage that alternating current provides for the power outlet is the fact that it is relatively easy to change the voltage of the power, using a device called a transformer.V=IR

Having even little knowledge of electronics can also save you a lot of time and money. If you know basics of electronics you can yourself correct faults encountered in your electronics equipments. For e.g. say a telephone has got its wire broken and wire has got unsoldered, if you have a general idea of how to correct it you can do it by yourself by soldering it instead of submitting it at any shop. This was just an example. We must know how electrical circuits work and general electronic symbols and formulas.

Question by Cass: Are there really bidding sites for electronics that our not scams?
I heard from someone that they got there daughter a Ipod for $ 79 on some bid site . I’m wanting to get my daughter a laptop for Christmas . So love to know any sites that you can bid on electronics that are not scams ?

Stay away from there, all penny auctions are scams. It may look like a great deal (and it can be… for the site owner) but since you could put in quite a bit of money and walk away empty handed, it should be considered gambling.

Take that $ 79 iPod. That’s 7900 pennies bid by several people, and even at only 50 cents per bid that’s nearly $ 4000 for a $ 200 product, plus what the winner paid. Guess who gets the leftover money.

And even if you accept that, can you accept the possibility that you could lose all the money you put in? Imagine buying 30 bids at 50 cents each and running into someone with 31 bids at the ready. You lose, you’re out $ 15, and you and your co-losers have more than paid for the other guy’s win.

Electronics is the study of the flow of electrons through materials and devices. Devices could be semiconductors, resistors, inductors, capacitors and vacuum tubes. An electronic component is any physical entity in an electronic system which affects the electrons. Current flows from +ve to -ve.

First of all you must be aware of what is an atom. Atom contains a nucleus to which electrons are tightly bound or loosely bound. Example wood, glass have tightly bound electrons has it is difficult for current to flow in them since there is less movement of electrons. Whereas Copper, iron, god, silver are having loosely bounded electrons to nucleus therefore current flow is more due to presence of free electrons. Generators use a magnet to move electrons. In an electrical circuit, the number of electrons that are moving is called the current, and it is measured in amperes. The “force” pushing the electrons along is called the voltage and is measured in volts. For example a battery is of 9v means it will push electrons with force of 9v.In US power outlets gives 120v whereas in India it gives 220v.

Increase in voltage increases current. Decrease in resistance will increase current flow.The advantage that alternating current provides for the power outlet is the fact that it is relatively easy to change the voltage of the power, using a device called a transformer.V=IR

If you allow electrons to move through a wire, they will create a magnetic field around the wire.Similarly, if you move a magnet near a wire, the magnetic field will cause electrons in the wire to move.

General Electronics is necessary for all of us to know. Being completely unaware of electronics basics terms will not help you at all. Having even little knowledge of electronics can also save you a lot of time and money. If you know basics of electronics you can yourself correct faults encountered in your electronics equipments. For e.g. say a telephone has got its wire broken and wire has got unsoldered, if you have a general idea of how to correct it you can do it by yourself by soldering it instead of submitting it at any shop. This was just an example. We must know how electrical circuits work and general electronic symbols and formulas.

I read this short story in high school, but I can’t remember the title or author. It’s gives the audience a glimpse of a world that has been destroyed; there are no humans left and the reader is taken through a house where electronics are going off, and things are still going on without human life.

Question by Elli: Is there a diagnosis or name for people who break electronics naturally?
I have a strange thing that happens to me.
When i am around electronics they tend to break or short circuit.
I have had 6 of the same cell phone this year. I broke 3 laptop computers, one camera, and i had an electric chiropractic therapy short out while on me.
None of these things were dropped, or thrown or drowned. They all had malfunctions of various types.
I’ve heard that some people believe some have higher magnetism then others that effect electronics.
Are there any actual diagnosis for this?

yes there is though I’m not sure on the name my boyfriend and his grandmother have it, they cant wear watches and his grandmother the watch will actually reverse. its so cool to watch. and yes that’s exactly it, its a higher magnetism
also be happy this happens sure there are things that you cant use and it really sucks, BUT people with higher amounts of magnetic “aura” we’ll call it also have a higher level of creativity and other good traits such as increased amounts of brain cells. so when you get older you’ll be the one all us normal people call “boss” lol good luck though and i do sympathize with you, unfortunately after an extensive amount of searching i have not yet found a way to get rid of or lower the amount of magnetism in the human body

Question by SC: Are there any gases that can do damage to electronics?
By electronics i mean like CDs, DVDs, DVD players, PS3 and just any electronics basically. I guess the purpose of this question is that i am bored but also curious if it can happen just in case something weird happens i guess. I am sure gases at like a chemistry lab could effect it but not just stuff around the house.

I’ve read in the news that the peole who have chinese drywall are having electronics fail due to the hydrogen sulfide that is coming from the drywall.
